Every Sunday after Church Service in Church

The Mar Thoma Church Sunday School motto is “Come to Jesus, Bring every child to Jesus,” and the curriculum that we follow as a Samajam Sunday School is “Grow in God’s Love”, the new curriculum introduced in 2024. Sunday School eligibility is for children aged 4 to 17, from Nursery to Young Adult classes respectively. We have 100 students and 20 teachers.

Sunday School starts every Sunday with a 30 min common session for all students. We start with prayer, followed by singing session, and some days Activity sessions (Activities include – bible quiz, crossword, puzzles).

The common session is followed by classes handled by the respective class teachers.

Some of the activities of the Sunday School are as follows:
• Christian Faith Education : Help our children learn and grow in the Christian faith through education, by meditating and read from the Word- Bible. songs, worship, engaging activities, and fellowship.
• Participation in Church Services : On every second Sunday, during the English Service, our Sunday School children actively assist in the church service.
• Vacation Bible School (VBS): The annual Vacation Bible School organized by the Parish is managed by Sunday School. It provides children with an immersive experience of biblical teachings through stories, songs, crafts, and interactive activities.
• Talent Parishodhana Competitions: Our students participate in the Talent Parishodhana competitions at various levels, including Parish, Centre, Diocese, and Samajam, showcasing their talents and deepening their faith.
• World Sunday School Celebrations : We actively participate in World Sunday School celebrations, both at the parish and in the Centre, organised Programmes
• Students’ Camps: Our children attend camps organised at the Centre and Diocesan levels, offering opportunities for spiritual growth, fellowship, and learning.
• Christmas Day Celebrations: The Sunday School plays a significant role in the church’s Christmas Day celebrations, contributing through performances and various programmes that commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ.

These activities help children grow in their faith while having fun and building friendships.
